A 15-year-old boy is facing charges after a student was stabbed at a Manitoba high school Monday morning. Portage la Prairie RCMP and paramedics responded to a reported assault at Portage Collegiate Institute shortly after 10 a.m. When they arrived, a 14-year-old boy was being treated for a stab wound. He was taken to hospital in Winnipeg in stable condition. Police allege the teen was stabbed by another youth, who ran from the school. The suspect was found at a home minutes later in Portage la Prairie and taken into custody without incident. RCMP said charges are pending against a 15-year-old boy from Long Plain First Nation.
