Two men charged after shots fired near Hog’s Back Park

Ottawa police say two men are facing multiple charges following an incident in which a firearm was discharged in the city’s south end near Hog’s Back Park.

According to police, officers responded to a suspicious incident on Riverside Drive near Heron Road at approximately 2:28 p.m. on Thursday, April 2. Police say they determined that a firearm had been discharged.

On Friday, April 3, two men, aged 27 and 30, were arrested in connection with the incident and a firearm was seized.

The two men face are facing multiple charges, including careless use and reckless discharge of a firearm, as well as possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm without a valid licence and registration.
