The Ritchie Feed and Seed location in Stittsville is closing this fall. In an announcement on Facebook, Ritchie Feed and Seed said it is required to close its location on Carp Road due to the sale of the land. “After many wonderful years in Stittsville, we are saddened to share that our Ritchie Feed & Seed Stittsville location will be permanently closing by the end of October,” the business said. “We want to sincerely thank every customer who has supported our Stittsville team over the years. From garden projects and pet supplies to seasonal visits and everyday stops, your loyalty has meant so much to us.” Ritchie Feed and Seed has locations on Ottawa Street in Richmond and on Windmill Lane in Ottawa’s east end. Ritchie Feed and Seed is located on the same land as the Stittsville Carp Road Flea Market. Last week, the vendor family announced, “Stittsville’s locally owned and operated, Kondruss Gallery/Stittsville’s Carp Road Flea Market/Barbie Museum will be closing its doors” this fall. Indoor vendors will be on site every Sunday until the end of September, while the outdoor market will remain open until the end of October.
