Relief from the heat as cooler temperatures move into Ottawa today

Ottawa residents will receive some relief from the hot conditions this week with temperatures expected to be below seasonal.

The normal temperatures for this time of year are a high of 24 C and a low of 14 C. Environment Canada’s forecast calls for highs between 20 C and 24 C this week.

There will be a mix of sun and cloud today. High 20 C.

It will be partly cloudy tonight. Low 10 C.

Tuesday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of showers. High 24 C.

A mix of sun and cloud is expected on Wednesday with a 30 per cent chance of showers. High 23 C.

The outlook for Thursday calls for showers. High 21 C.

Friday will be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers. High 21 C.

Rainy June

It was a wet weekend in Ottawa, with more than 28 millimetres of rain falling on Saturday and Sunday.

Environment Canada says Ottawa received 24.3 mm of rain on Sunday, while 4.2 mm of rain was recorded at the Ottawa Airport on Saturday.

A total of 76.9 mm of rain has been recorded in Ottawa so far in June. Ottawa received 65.5 mm of rain in June 2025 and 149.5 mm of rain in June 2024.
