Police are investigating an overnight collision in south Barrie that left an elderly man hospitalized with serious injuries. It happened in the early hours of Monday morning, just before 1 a.m. at Dean Avenue and Country Lane. Police say one of the vehicles was being driven by a 16-year-old male, a G2 licenced driver, who had multiple passengers in his vehicle. A 67-year-old man has sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision, police say. A photo shared by Barrie police on social media shows two mangled vehicles on location. One appears to be on the edge of a property at the intersection with significant damage to its front end. The other vehicle, which ended up near the front door of the home, has severe damage along its side. Police say charges are pending.
