Police investigating vehicle arson in Clarence-Rockland

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating an alleged arson that destroyed a pick-up truck in Clarence-Rockland over the weekend.

Police responded to a vehicle fire on Belisle Street on Sunday at approximately 4 a.m.

Firefighters were already on scene when officers arrived, police say.

“The investigation has found that incendiary devices were used to ignite the pick-up truck,” OPP said in a news release.

“Two individuals were seeing fleeing the scene in two vehicles.”

Police say one suspect was dressed in a dark hoodie, dark pants and white shoes. The other was wearing a t-shirt with a hood, dark pants and white shoes.

Anyone with information or has any doorbell video from the area is asked to contact the Russell County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident E250769474.
