Police seeking witnesses for pedestrian hit and run in Vanier

A woman was treated for serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Ottawa’s Vanier neighbourhood, an incident police say was a hit and run.

Emergency crews responded to a collision involving a pedestrian on McArthur Avenue, between Lafontaine and Lacasse avenues Thursday morning.

Police say the woman was struck by a red Dodge minivan at approximately 9:52 a.m., and the vehicle failed to remain at the scene.

The woman was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
