A 70-year-old man has been arrested after police say an elderly woman was threatened with a knife and spat on outside a Windsor business. Windsor police say officers responded shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday to a report of a man with a weapon outside a grocery store in the 300 block of Tecumseh Road East. Police say a woman was walking through the parking lot when an unknown man approached her and showed her a knife concealed in his waistband. The man then allegedly brandished the knife, waved it toward the woman and spat in her face, police said. The woman sought refuge inside a nearby community member’s vehicle, while the suspect fled the area on foot. Police located and arrested the man a short time later. William Timothy Nantais, 70, faces charges of assault with a weapon, assault and breach of probation.
