The Ottawa Police Service is asking the public for help identifying a suspect in an aggravated assault case from a year ago. The incident happened on Hazeldean Road near Castlefrank Road at around 12:45 a.m. on March 19, 2025. Police say one person was seriously injured. A search for the suspect has so far been unsuccessful, police said. “While investigators have pursued several investigative avenues since March 2025, they are now seeking the public’s assistance to help identify the individual,” Ottawa police said in a news release. Police are looking for a white man with a large build who, at the time of the incident, was wearing dark Puma jogging pants, a dark jacket with a white stripe across the front, and a white baseball cap.
