Ottawa Charge to open new PWHL season on Nov. 22

The Ottawa Charge will play 13 games at the Arena at TD Place during their third season, along with two designated home games at non-primary venues.

The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) released the 2025-26 schedule on Thursday, with the league’s eight teams each playing 30 games this season.

The Charge will kick off the new season on Saturday, Nov. 22, when they host the New York Sirens at TD Place. The Charge will also host Vancouver and Minnesota during a three-game homestand to open the new season.

The schedule includes a games on Dec. 27 and on Jan. 3 at TD Place.

“We know that there are no games off in our league and we look forward to the challenge of playing our brand of hockey at a high level of consistency,” said Charge Head Coach Carla MacLeod.

“There is no doubt we have all circled the home opener at TD Place on November 22 on our calendars. Our fans inspire us, their energy is electric, and they play with the kazoos like no one else. We can’t wait to reunite with them.”

Ottawa is coming off an appearance in the PWHL Water Cup Finals last season.

The Charge will face the Toronto Sceptres and PWHL Seattle five times each, and the other five teams four times during the season.

The Montreal Victorie’s first visit to Ottawa is March 11.

PWHL Beavertail orders

The Ottawa Charge teamed up with the Beavertails for a schedule release video, with goaltender Gwyneth Philips ordering Beavertails from goalie Logan Angers.

“I’ve got some friends coming into town and I figured I’d welcome them in the most Ottawa way possible,” Philips said.

For the Victorie, Philips orders a Poutail in honour of Marie-Philip Poulin.

For Toronto, Philips asks for something, “not fancy. Give me something plain like the vanilla.”

Angers says, “Classic Toronto.”

The PWHL will take a break Dec. 8 to 15, and there will be an Olympic winter break from Jan. 28 to Feb. 25.

The Charge will offer pre-built partial ticket packages on Oct. 7. Single game tickets will be available starting Oct. 14.
