Ontario Provincial Police lent a hand to two teens who were blown away from shore on a pool toy near Kingston, Ont. on Monday. According to a post on social media from police, OPP and RCMP officers were on a joint marine patrol between Kingston and Wolfe Island when “they spotted an object low in the water.” The object, it turned out, was two 14-year-olds on a floating pool toy. The teens had been carried out into the waters and could not get back. OPP said neither one of them were wearing life jackets. An image shared by OPP appeared to show that several pool toys had been taped together to form a makeshift raft. “They were returned to grateful parents,” OPP said.
