Man dead in crash between SUV and motorcycle near Richmond

A man has died following a collision near Richmond in Ottawa’s rural west end.

Emergency crews were called to a stretch of Huntley Road between Mansfield and Brownlee roads at around 4:10 p.m. Thursday for a crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle.

An Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson says paramedics dispatched to the scene and a medical team from an Ornge air ambulance attended to the patient, who was on the motorcycle, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ottawa Police Service said Friday morning the victim was a man in his 40s.

The occupants of the SUV did not suffer any physical injuries, according to police.
