Gatineau police are seeking witnesses to a possible assault after an injured man was found in the Hull sector on Saturday. Police were called to the intersection of rue Laval and rue Wellington at around 3 a.m. Saturday on reports of an unconscious man bleeding from the head. The man was semiconscious when police arrived and was visibly injured, police said. Gatineau firefighters and paramedics who had also responded treated the man at the scene. His condition was stable when he arrived at the hospital but later deteriorated, police said. Police continue to investigate.
