A 41-year-old Gatineau man is facing several charges after a daylight shooting in Hull on Tuesday. Emergency crews responded to a call reporting gunshots in the area of rue Dollard-des-Ormeaux at approximately 10:40 a.m. One person was shot and is now recovering in hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police say. Phillippe Mineault appeared at the Gatineau courthouse on Wednesday to face charges of discharging a firearm with a particular intent, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, and for breaching a prohibition order. Police say officers remain on site in some places to continue their investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gatineau police.
