Three charged in northern Ont. drug raid

Three people face drug charges after OPP seized $35,000 in cash, cocaine and other drugs in Iroquois Falls.

A drug trafficking investigation in Iroquois Falls has resulted in charges against three individuals and the seizure of an estimated $35,000 in cash and narcotics.

Ontario Provincial Police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the community on Thursday.

“Police seized suspected cocaine, crack cocaine and hydromorphone, as well as, Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia,” the OPP said in a news release.

A 40-year-old local man, along with a 19-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, both from London, Ont., were taken into custody at the scene. Each of them has been charged with three counts of drug trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

All three individuals were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
