Charges laid after OPP stop suspended driver in northern Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police charged a suspended driver following a traffic stop in West Nipissing early Wednesday morning.

OPP said that at about 2:15 a.m. on Jan. 28, officers stopped a vehicle with an obstructed licence plate on Railway Street.

“The driver was also found to be a suspended driver,” police said in a news release.

As a result, a 40-year-old motorist from Corbeil was charged with driving while under suspension and driving with an obstructed plate.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on March 12 to answer to the charges.
