Police in Greater Sudbury have issued an arrest warrant for Romaine Sam, 26, who is wanted on two counts of second-degree murder. Police believe Sam, who is from southern Ontario, is one of the people responsible for a double homicide Aug. 29 at an apartment complex at 1960 Paris St. “Romaine Sam should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone with information related to his whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately,” police said in a news release Monday. Another suspect, a 23-year-old woman, was arrested Sept. 6 by the Toronto Police Service and charged with accessory after the fact to murder in connection to the case. She was brought to Greater Sudbury and appeared in weekend court Sept. 7 and remains in custody. On the night of the murders, police charged 44-year-old Keaton Pren with two counts of first-degree murder and he remains in custody. Three suspects at large Police are still searching for two other unidentified men wanted for murder in the Aug. 29 shooting deaths, in addition to Sam. Another woman, 32, has also been charged with accessory to murder after the fact. “Detectives continue to follow up on information to identify the other two men believed to be involved,” police said. “Anyone with information related to the whereabouts of Romaine Sam or the identities of the other two men involved in the incident is asked to contact police at 705-675-9171 or Crime Stoppers at 705-222-8477.” Police responded around 10:23 p.m. Aug. 29 to reports of gunshots at the Paris Street building. A man who has not been identified was shot to death, along with a 41-year-old woman. Their remains were found on one of the floors of the building. Police believe the murders were targeted incidents and that the victims and suspects knew one another.
