Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, calling for heavy rain in many Northern Ontario communities.

The statement is in affect for: Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake, Greater Sudbury, Manitoulin - Blind River - Killarney, North Bay - West Nipissing and Sault Ste. Marie - Superior East.

The above mentioned area are expected to be hit with between 15 to 30 millimetres,

Rain is expected to begin falling Monday night, before tapering off Tuesday evening. The rain may change to wet snow briefly, late Tuesday afternoon or Tuesday evening.
