Ontario Provincial Police in Thunder Bay is investigating a fatal collision on Highway 595 this week that killed a snowplow driver.

The single-vehicle crash took place just before 1 p.m., the OPP said in a news release March 26.

“The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene,” police said.

The fatality is being investigated by the OPP’s north west traffic incident management team and OPP collision reconstructionists.

“Highway 595 has since been reopened,” police said.
