Public urination leads to charges for Sault suspect

A 27-year-old Sault man already on probation has been charged with mischief following a complaint about an incident April 27.

“Police received video footage from a multi-unit residential building in the 600 block of Wellington Street East (that) showed the accused exiting a unit and urinating on a sidewalk directly in front of a doorway the day before,” police said in a news release April 30.

He was arrested by patrolling officers downtown April 28.

Charges include mischief under $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on July 27.
