Police in Timmins say that an incident in the area of New Street and Bristol Road on Wednesday has been resolved.

Police said they responded to a mental-health call for service in the area.

“We would like to thank members of the public for their patience, cooperation, and understanding while emergency personnel worked to safely resolve the situation,” police said in the update.

“The Timmins Police Service reminds the community that mental health calls can require a significant police response in order to ensure the safety of all involved.”
