A wildfire is burning in Nova Scotia’s Queens County Wednesday evening. The Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources is in the community of East Port L’Herbert and is being supported by three volunteer fire departments from Queens County, according to a post on the Region of Queens Municipality Facebook page at 4:56 p.m. The fire is estimated to be three hectares. “Residents are asked to stay out of the area to allow fire fighters to do their work,” reads the post. Nova Scotia’s four new 802 fixed wing air tankers, Bird Dog and a DNR helicopter are on scene. DNR said just before 9 p.m. the fire is being held.
