A 39-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of a man that occurred in the Ville-Marie borough of Montreal on Monday morning. The victim, Stevenson Clerzius, 44, was stabbed on de la Gauchetière Street near de Bullion Street. He sustained lower-body injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he later died. Witnesses allege the accused, Ida Nassak, stabbed the victim following an altercation, police said. The perpetrator fled the scene before police arrived. Nassak was arrested later in the evening. The man’s death is the 12th homicide on Montreal police territory in 2026.
