Possible vehicle arson attack in Montréal-Nord

Montreal police (SPVM) say a vehicle parked in the lot of a sports complex in Montréal-Nord was targeted in an arson attack early Saturday morning.

The SPVM received a 911 call around 12:15 a.m. reporting a vehicle fire at the Cégep Marie-Victorin Sports Complex on Boulevard Maurice-Duplessis.

When officers arrived, firefighters had already brought the flames under control.

However, the vehicle sustained major damage.

No incendiary objects were found at the scene, but police say certain evidence suggests arson.

No arrests have been made and no injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
