Man stabbed in Côte-des-Neiges–NDG; no arrests yet

A man was stabbed in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough on Friday night.

Montreal police (SPVM) said they received a call around 9:50 p.m. reporting an armed assault at the intersection of Victoria Street and Bourret Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old man with upper-body wounds.

He was conscious and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say an altercation broke out before the assault, but officers do not yet know what led to it.

The canine unit was also dispatched.

Investigators reviewed security camera footage in the area.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
