Weekend weather rollercoaster: mild, rainy Saturday followed by sharp Sunday cooldown

CTV London weather specialist Reta Ismail has the details on your weekend weather forecast.

The forecast this weekend is a bit unstable, but there’s something for everyone’s weather preference.

Mild temperatures are expected Saturday, with a high reaching the mid-teens. And if you’re a fan of cozy, rainy days at home — you’re in luck.

“We’re expecting a daytime high of 15 degrees, but with that will come on and off rainfall later in the afternoon,” explained CTV London weather specialist Reta Ismail. “Then throughout the evening, we’re expecting mainly cloudy conditions heading into Sunday.”

A sharp drop in temperatures is expected Sunday as a low-pressure system moves into the region.

“We could pick up a couple centimeters of snowfall if you fall under one of those streamers throughout Grey and Bruce, and then it shifts back and forth throughout the afternoon on Sunday,” explained Ismail. “For us here in London, we could be dealing with some wet weather, a mix of snow and rain Sunday afternoon.”

Saturday night: Cloudy. 30 per cent chance of drizzle or showers in the evening. Wind northwest 40 km/h gusting to 60. Low plus 3.

Sunday: A mix of sun and cloud with 40 per cent chance of showers. Windy. High plus 3.

Monday: A mix of sun and cloud. High plus 4.

Tuesday: Cloudy. High plus 5.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and cloud. High plus 4.

Thursday: Cloudy with 40 per cent chance of showers. High 7.
