Sunny, warm stretch continues with slight chance of midweek showers

A stretch of sunny and warm weather is expected to continue through much of the week in the London region, with only a slight chance of midweek showers.

Environment Canada forecasts clearing skies Monday after morning fog patches dissipate. The high is expected to reach 26 C, with a humidex of 28 and a UV index of 8, considered very high. The overnight low will dip to 12 C under clear skies.

Conditions remain sunny Tuesday, with winds becoming southwest at 20 km/h late in the morning. The daytime high is forecast at 28 C, with a humidex of 29 and a UV index of 8. The night will be clear with a low of 15 C.

A mix of sun and cloud is expected Wednesday, along with a 30 per cent chance of showers. The high will be 26 C. Overnight will bring cloudy periods and a continued 30 per cent chance of showers, with a low of 11 C.

Sunshine returns Thursday with a high near 24 C, followed by a clear night and a low of 11 C.

The week is set to wrap up Friday with more sunny skies and a high of 24 C.
