OPP: ‘Concerning’ behaviour of ATV rider catches police attention

Police is Bracebridge charged two drivers with impaired driving in two separate incidents in Gravenhurst.

The first charged was given to a driver in the area of Highway 11 North near Doe Lake Road in Gravenhurst. An OPP officer conducting speed enforcement initiated a traffic stop around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, that resulted in the arrest of a 38-year-old Orillia woman. She was charged with operation while impaired, speeding and driving with liquor readily available.

On Saturday, a second charge came as the result of a general patrol in the area of Violet Street and First Street in Gravenhurst. Police say they noticed “concerning” behaviour of an all-terrain-vehicle being ridden. Following a stop of the vehicle, a 47-year-old Gravenhurst man was charged with operation while impaired, stunt driving, failure to wear a proper helmet and more.
