A 66-year-old man is facing multiple charges after police seized more than $20,000 worth of cocaine, cash, and a disguised weapon during a search of a home Thursday afternoon. Around 4:25 p.m., police, including the emergency response team and Canine Unit, used a search warrant at a home in the 400 block of Russell Street south. During the search, police seized approximately 205 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $20,517, along with $743.15 in Canadian currency. Additional items, police said are consistent with drug trafficking paraphernalia, were also seized. A man was also arrested and found in possession of a conducted energy weapon that was manufactured to resemble a flashlight. A Sarnia man is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon while prohibited, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of property obtained by crime Under $5,000.
