Man charged with mischief in Sarnia.

A man has been charged following a mischief incident in Sarnia.

On Friday, police were called around 9 p.m. to London Line with a report of a man standing in the road and hitting it with an object.

When police arrived, they said a man was standing in the entranceway of a business, holding a tool that looked like it had a crowbar handle with a sledgehammer on one end and a pickaxe on the other.

The suspect complied when told to drop the tool. Police arrested the man, who was identified as a 49-year-old of no fixed address. They said he was also in breach of his probation order to keep the peace and be on good behaviour.

The man was charged with mischief under $5,000, failure to comply with probation order, and failure to comply with a release order.
