A small electrical fire at Wingham’s Tim Horton’s closed the restaurant for a short time this weekend. An employee noticed the fire, around 2 p.m. on Sunday. North Huron fire crews arrived and evacuated the building. North Huron Fire Chief, Chad Kregar, said the electrical fire extended slightly into the wall, but there was no extension into the ductwork or ventilation system. He said the situation was quickly brought under control, and the restaurant was turned over to the owners for some repair work and was open again Monday morning.
