The boy who was hit by a driver south of London earlier this week has died. According to police, the boy was struck by a vehicle while getting off the bus. The vehicle did remain at the scene. The boy has been identified as seven-year-old Dante Caranci. He was taken to hospital by paramedic services and succumbed to his injuries. Police had previously said they were called to Murray Road and Longwoods around 4 p.m. Monday. Witnesses reported seeing a school bus stopped on the side of the road nearby. The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone that was in the area and may have dash-cam or video surveillance between 3:45 and 4:05 p.m., to contact them. An online fundraiser has brought in more than $90,000 so far.
