The Windsor Police Service has arrested a man in connection with a $25,000 arson at a commercial building. Just after 7:30 a.m. on Monday, police were called to a fire at a building in the 100 block of Wyandotte Street East. They said an unknown man broke a window on the northeastern side of the building, lit an item on fire, and threw it inside. He was arrested within 50 minutes of the initial call. A torch lighter and a piece of magazine paper were seized. The 62-year-old man is now facing charges of arson causing property damage and possession of an incendiary device for arson.
