London driver charged in passenger vehicle and ambulance collision

A two vehicle collision in Adelaide Metcalfe sent three people to hospital on Monday afternoon, and saw a London driver charged.

Just after 5 p.m., police say that they were called the the scene of a collision involving a passenger vehicle and an ambulance, just north of Second Street.

Two people from the ambulance were sent to the hospital as a precaution. The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene on foot, and officers located them nearby.

They were then placed under arrest and transported to hospital as a precaution.

A 40-year-old Londoner faces several charges including operation while impaired by drugs, failure to stop after an accident, forcible confinement, and assault.

Police say that there were no civilians present in the ambulance at the time of the collision.
