Guelph server reportedly punched in the face by drunk man

A Guelph man has been charged after police were told he punched someone in the face after they refused to serve him.

Police were told the man walked into a downtown business on Monday around 2:40 p.m. The employee believed the man was already intoxicated and refused to give him more alcohol. The man became angry and reportedly punched the employee.

The 40-year-old was arrested by Guelph Police Service employees and charged with assault and public intoxication.
