Thieves are to blame for a service outage in Guelph-Eramosa. The Ontario Provincial Police said someone stole approximately two lengths of copper telecommunications wire from an area around Highway 7, east of Skyway Drive. The theft happened sometime between July 24 and July 25, leading to service outages the next morning. The total cost of materials and repairs is believed to exceed $5,000.
