$120K in drugs seized from Guelph homes and storage locker

An investigation by the Guelph Police Service has resulted in the seizure of more than $120,000 worth of drugs, weapons and stolen goods.

Earlier this summer, the force’s Drug Enforcement Unit began looking at two men who were allegedly trafficking fentanyl.

A search warrant was issued last week for two homes and a storage locker in the city’s west end.

Police said they seized 965.84 grams of fentanyl with an estimated street value of $116,000, 14.17 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $1,400 and smaller amounts of psilocybin and Hydromorphone.

A crossbow, nunchucks, pellet guns and knives were also found, along with nearly $10,000 in cash and stolen property like expensive bicycles.

Two men and three women, all from Guelph, were charged with a variety of drug, weapon and property offences.
