A 17-year-old woman is in hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a motor vehicle on Highway 144 in Chelmsford in Greater Sudbury.

A 17-year-old woman is in hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a motor vehicle on Highway 144 in Chelmsford.

The collision took place May 3. Ontario Provincial Police responded around 11:40 p.m.

“The pedestrian, a 17-year-old female from Sudbury, was transported to the area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries,” police said in a news release May 4.

“The investigation remains ongoing.”
