Waterloo Region’s second-snowiest winter on record… so far

Temperatures will drastically drop on Thursday night. CTV's Ashley Bacon has the details.

Southwestern Ontario has seen an almost record-breaking amount of snow this winter.

According to Rob Kuhn, a meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada, 205.5 cm of the white stuff has been recorded at the University of Waterloo’s weather station this season.

The current record was set between Nov. 1, 2007 and April 30, 2008. Kuhn said 249.4 cm of snow fell that winter in the Breslau area.

With no break from the deep freeze in the forecast, southwestern Ontario could potentially break a record this season.
