Langdon Hall announces return of once-missing chef Gushue

Jonathan Gushue will return to Langdon Hall’s kitchen next week, the hotel has announced.

Gushue, the hotel’s executive chef, disappeared for a 10-day stretch in January before he was located by police outside the province.

In a Thursday afternoon press release, Langdon Hall says the 41-year-old, who has worked there since 2005, will return to the hotel effective April 2.

“Since the beginning of the new year, Chef Gushue has taken some time off to focus on his personal issues, health and well-being,” reads the release.

Chef David Sider had been running Langdon Hall’s internationally renowned Kitchener in Gushue’s absence.

In 2010, Gushue’s work was credited for landing his employer a prestigious award when Langdon Hall was named one of the world’s top 100 restaurants.
