An unconscious man was found with stab wounds in Montreal’s Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough on Monday night. Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 9:15 p.m. about the incident on Élie Beauregard Avenue near Perras Boulevard. “When police arrived at the scene, they located the victim, a 49-year-old man,” said Caroline Chèvrefils, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “He was injured to the upper and lower body by a sharp object.” The man was transported to hospital, and his life is not considered to be in danger. “The suspects fled before the arrival of police,” added Chèvrefils, noting that no arrests have been made.
