Driver charged in hydro pole crash near Mount Forest

A driver from Grey Highlands has been charged after a vehicle hit a hydro pole and flipped onto its roof.

Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle collision at the corner of Southgate Sideroad 49 and Highway 89 near Mount Forest on Friday around 4:15 p.m.

When they arrived, hydro wires were draped across the road and a vehicle was found upside down in a nearby field. The driver of the vehicle was able to get out and was sent to hospital with serious, but not life threatening, injuries.

A 23-year-old man was charged with operation while impaired and dangerous operation.
