Cocaine, fentanyl, machete and axe seized in Kitchener

Two people are facing a long list of charges as part of a drug trafficking investigation in Kitchener.

Waterloo Regional Police Service officers conducted a search in the Victoria Street North and Forfar Avenue area on Jan. 16.

They seized suspected cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, oxycodone and morphine as well as a machete, an axe, ammunition, identity documents and cash.

A 45-year-old Kitchener man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested and charged with six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of a firearm or weapon contrary to a prohibition order.
