Brantford man rearrested and charged with additional child pornography offences

An ongoing investigation has resulted in more than a dozen new charges for a Brantford, Ont. man previously arrested for child pornography offences.

The Brantford Police Service initially searched a home on Aug. 19 after they received a tip about a man who potentially had child pornography. Officers seized multiple computers, cellphones and electronic devices during the search and detectives said they found evidence of child pornography.

A 32-year-old Brantford man was arrested that same day and charged with accessing child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography.

However, the investigation wasn’t over. After delving into the case further, police arrested the man again on Sept. 30. They charged him with 15 additional offences including making child pornography and luring a child under 16 years of age.

Investigators are still probing the man’s history and said he was known to travel extensively. They are concerned he may have communicated with children on several different social media platforms where he used the usernames:

• Karl shy
