Brantford Bulldogs secure top spot in OHL Eastern Conference

The Brantford Bulldogs reign supreme as the 2026 East Division Champions in the OHL Eastern Conference after a win over Niagara Wednesday night.

As the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) regular season draws to an end, one team has once again come out as the top dog in the Eastern Conference.

For the second year in a row, the Brantford Bulldogs clinched the title of East Division Champions Wednesday night, after a big win over the Niagara IceDogs.

While the IceDogs opened up the scoring early in the first period, the Bulldogs’ Marek Vanacker responded with two goals of his own.

Adam Jiricek and Adam Benak put two more into the net in the third, while Jake O’Brien landed an empty netter with less than three minutes left in the game. The final score was 5-2.

Brantford started the season with a 23-game win streak, including 17 consecutive home games without a regulation loss.

The Bulldogs host North Bay Friday night before finishing the regular season in Brampton on Sunday.

As the top seed in the Eastern Conference, the Bulldogs will face the Sudbury Wolves in the first round of the 2026 OHL Playoffs set to start next week.
