Edmonton Oilers defenceman Jake Walman signed a long-term contract on Monday. Walman signed a seven-year contract with an AAV of $7 million, the team announced Monday. The Oilers acquired Walman from the San Jose Sharks last March. Edmonton has been busy on Monday, two days before the start of the regular season. Captain Connor McDavid signed a two-year extension with the team with an AAV of $12.5 million.
