American Airlines cancels Edmonton-Dallas Fort Worth flight

A U.S. airline has announced it is pulling a direct flight between Edmonton and a major U.S. airport.

American Airlines has confirmed its non-stop flight between the Edmonton International Airport and Dallas Fort Worth would end on February 11, 2016.

A spokesperson told CTV News there wasn’t a demand for the service – which first launched in April, 2014.

While that particular route is being cancelled, American Airlines said its direct flight from Calgary to Dallas would continue.
