Power being restored to more than 11,000 Calgary homes: Enmax

Enmax is working to restore power in the Calgary neighbourhoods of Riverbend, Acadia and Maple Ridge.

Power has been restored to a number of Calgary homes after a Sunday morning blackout that impacted more than 11,000 homes.

Enmax posted an update on social media saying that just before 1 p.m., they were able to restore power to a number of communities.

Earlier in the morning, they posted that a power outage struck a number of Calgary neighbourhoods Sunday morning, impacting over 11,000 homes in parts of Martindale, Cornerstone, Saddle Ridge, Stoney 3, Saddle Ridge Industrial, Rocky View County, Homestead and Aviation Park.

The company said on its website that it started at 11:07 a.m. They said power should be restored to everyone by around 1:30 p.m.
