Power restored to most homes in Riverbend, Acadia and Maple Ridge after blackout

Enmax is working to restore power in the Calgary neighbourhoods of Riverbend, Acadia and Maple Ridge.

Power is mostly restored after it went out in three Calgary neighbourhoods late Thursday afternoon.

Enmax issued an update at 6 p.m. on its X account, saying “Most people have power back. We’ve isolated the issue and a crew is on their way to investigate and restore power to the remaining 21 homes.”

Earlier, Enmax had reported on its social media feed that Riverbend, Acadia and Maple Ridge all lost power at 3:32 p.m., impacting over 2,800 customers.

There was no word on the cause of the power outage.

It also posted that power was restored in Varsity just before 4 p.m.
