Pedestrian struck by C-Train in downtown Calgary

A C-Train is stopped at 7 Avenue and 3 Street S.E. in Calgary after striking a pedestrian on April 27, 2026.

Calgary police say a man is in hospital after getting hit by a C-Train in the downtown core.

Police say the collision happened at around 8:30 p.m. at 7 Avenue and 3 Street S.E., near the Calgary Central Library.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Trains travelling in and out of the area were stopped and shuttle buses were called in to transport people.
